Spain's prime minister, Pedro Sanchez, directly mentioned the possibility of a resumption of the pro-football Primera Liga (La Liga), which was halted due to coronavirus infection-19 (Corona 19).

"I like basketball more than soccer, but I'm hoping for football to come back," said Sanchez when meeting with reporters. "The Spanish league league will decide for itself when it will resume."

Following Prime Minister Sanchez's announcement that he will allow players to train personally from tomorrow (Monday), Lariga's move to close the 2019-2020 season has become even more resilient, addressing the possibility of resuming the league.

"We already hope that soccer will resume as soon as the government has already allowed individual training in group events," he said.

However, it is not that La Liga can resume right away.

Spain, with 2,100 cumulative deaths, has decided to extend the state of emergency following Corona 19 until the 24th.

Local media understand Mr. Sanchez's remarks, which means he will be able to decide to resume after measures to ease containment have been achieved.

Meanwhile, the Bundesliga in Germany is scheduled to resume on June 9, with the English Premier League and Serie A in Italy aiming to resume in June.

On the other hand, the remaining season for the French League was canceled by the government.
